These are the December Update news:
- 99/12/22
- Baldur's Gate: no, I won't talk about the sequel of this famous
RPG. I'm here to announce the official release date of Baldur's Gate
PSX version. All you Sony fans should be happy to hear that, on
16th February 2000, you'll be able to play this famous game on your
console. You can already pre-order it at our GameShop!

- Rating: Emulation World will be promoting the highest rated sites
on their page. Since I am a member of this emulation directory and
I could use some extra visitors, I would like to ask you to rate my
site. Simply click here and then choose a score from 0 to 10
(being 10 the highest). Thanks for your help!
- Romulation: this is a recent TOP Site that I've also joined. Remember to
give me a vote if you have some time. And don't worry,
unlike other sites I won't fill this page with tons of pop-ups and misleading
links for TOP sites. Voting on my page is up to you (but I would be thankful
if you could give me a vote).
- 99/12/17
- IRC Chat: I'm currently beta-testing one of the surprises previously
mentioned. In the "Join #rpg" section there's a Web-based IRC chat
that you can use to join PTNet's #rpg (a place where I go whenever
possible). No need for IRC clients, all you need is a browser with
JAVA support. Try it out. I'll try to improve that section during
this week, adding multiple servers and some FAQs about IRC and PTNet.
- Christmas: I'm on my Christmas holidays :). I'll have a couple of
university-free weeks and I'll try to use'em to improve this page.
I'll try to re-design the Help section and I may include one or
two surprises somewhere else :).

- Ice Ring: TypeZero is the newest Ice Ring member! Go to the Ice Ring
section and check out his page!

- Breath of Fire 4: Capcom has recently made a press release regarding
this game. Both the PSX and the PSX2 versions should be released during
the third quarter of 2000. Capcom's spokesman said:
Breath of Fire IV is a one-player role playing game that combines
two-dimensional Japanese anime-style characters with a fully three-dimensional,
interactive environment. Players can explore immense 3-D surroundings, and with
a touch of a button, change the camera view to reveal secret passageways, hidden
treasures, power-ups or even monsters laying in wait. Breath of Fire IV will
include an all-new battle system.
- New Zelda: after announcing Zelda Gaiden for N64, Nintendo has now informed
that the GameBoy will see a new episode of this saga. "Zelda: the Mysterious
Acorn" should be released in Japan during the first quarter of 2000. This will
be the first part of a trilogy. Nintendo also said that the way we play one episode
will affect the next. This looks interesting, although they haven't said how
this will happen.
The story involves our well-known princess Zelda, Ganon and the Triforce. It all
begins when Ganon kidnaps Zelda. Link, as usual, tries to save the princess. But
when Ganon knows of this rescue attempt, he splits the Triforce into 8 parts (hmm...
a Triforce splitted into 8 parts? How unusual...). To mix things up a bit, the Rod
of Seasons disappears into another dimension. Link will now have to travel both
in Hyrule and in the other dimension. Sounds too much? Well, don't worry, Link will
have help. The Kangaroo Ricky will join him and will act much like Mario's Yoshi.
Maple, a young witch, will also help you out. Let's see if this is enough to create
another GameBoy hit.

- Chrono Trigger: ehehe... looks like I gave you a piece of bad information
a couple of days ago... sorry. The truth is, Chrono Trigger's PSX
version is already available. It's just like the SNES' game but it
has anime scenes in the middle. To fix this mistake, I'm making
it available at my GameShop.
- GameShop: I've decided to add a SNES section to my GameShop. Don't worry,
I'll keep the SNES' ROMs :). It'll be mainly dedicated to collectors
who wish to have a piece of history... but anyone can buy SNES games
there. There are also some new games available for the other systems.
You know something important that happened recently? Then
send it to me! If it's really important, I'll place it here!
Old Updates of this section are
available in the Archive.
