These are the June Update news:
- 99/6/23
- Update delay: July's global update will suffer
a minor delay. Instead of happening in the end of
June (as usual) I'll place it here in 5th of July.
Some of you (those who read the "Author" section)
probably have already guessed the reason... school
exams. Until I finish them, I won't be able to focus
on this page... But don't worry... After they're done,
I'll be able to give my full attention to this homepage!
- Zelda 64 fix: those who downloaded Zelda 64 for N64
and defeated the pre-final-boss, know that the game is
impossible to finish (due to a bug). But not anymore!
We are proud to present a INI file that will fix that
problem, thus enabling you to finish the game! Assuming
that you are skilled enough to defeat the final boss,
of course :). Proceed to the download section and get
that file! Along with it goes a text file (zelda.txt)
explaining in detail what you have to do in order to
correct the bug.
- Hadeesha Software: the producers of Battle Force
already have their own homepage! This game, the first
portuguese RPG for PC, will mix an interesting story
with some amazing anime scenes. If you wish to see more
information about it, you can visit their homepage at
members.xoom.com/hadeesha. And since they are an
Ice Ring member and are leaded by Swordsman (as you know,
this ring was formed by Swordsman and I), the Ice Ring
Mailing List will be the best way to receive information
about this game, so proceed to the "Ice Ring" section
and join the list. By the way, on the next update I'll
have a small surprise for you... the first official
Battle Force Wallpaper! (hmmm... guess that now it won't
be a surprise ;) ).
- Nethergate: Presented by SpiderWeb Software, this
RPG will be released for PC and Macintosh. You'll be
able to choose between a Roman or a Celtic warrior in
60 AD. This game will feature 16 bits 3D graphics.
For more information, you can visit their homepage:
www.spidweb.com
- 99/6/11
- Dungeons and Dragons: all you DND fans who weren't
able to buy the Adventure Game box set released last April
because it was sold out have reasons to be happy. Wizards
of the Coast, who now is in control of TSR, has released
a new edition. The box includes the usual rules and all
the components that the players may need. It costs $9.99
and it features the same rules as other DND games,
but in a more simple approach. For more info, you can visit
www.wizards.com.
- 99/6/3
- Multiplayer: While visiting some pages, I've found one
that may interest some of you. It's a server that offers
free multiplayer games. Nothing fancy, though... just some
text-based RPGs and stuff like that. Still, they have a
good selection of games and the Telnet interface is quite
easy to use. It may prove to be interesting. The URL is
ign.igame.net .
- 99/5/31
- Page Update: the page has gone through its global update
- Bleem: I'm placing Bleem's full version in the page. Swordsman
managed to get it and he's letting me link to the file. I've
already tested it and, apart from some sound glitches, it works.
This is no beta or test version... it's really the full Bleem!
Now, who's your best friend? :)
- Battle Force: Himura_Kenshin is the newest Battle Force
member. He will be integrating the coding crew (the programmers).
This RPG, featuring lots of anime style sequences, is leaded by
Swordsman. There's more information in his page (RPG Ring), so
go to the links section and visit his page.
- Mailing List: it's not new, but I would like to repeat it.
The Ice Ring RPG related mailing list is back on-line. You
can join it by filling in the form available in the Ice Ring
section.
- RPG Meetings: we're planning to bring back the RPG
Meetings. They weren't quite successful the last time we
made'em... but we'll give them another chance... a lot has
changed since then. These meetings' purpose is to join RPG
fans in PTNet's #rpg channel at a given date. We'll be
making them at Thursdays and Saturdays at 22h GMT. Visit
the "Join #rpg" section if you need info on how to join
this IRC channel. Drop by PTNet's #rpg at any time, but
be sure to go there during the RPG Meetings! We hope to
create a place where RPG fans around the planet can meet,
talk, exchange information, ideas, hints...
You know something important that happened recently? Then
send it to me! If it's really important, I'll place it here!
